Get a pen. Write this down. “Resentment grows where a boundary needs to be planted.” We all have “that” person in our lives who over-steps, asks too much, and doesn’t give in return. But, what if “that” person is a client?
This episode is Part #2 of a 3-part series exploring the importance of having clear values to guide you in business. In this episode, we’re exploring the importance of setting values-based boundaries with your clients.

Being ‘busy’ has become a badge of honor in our society – signaling to other people, and to ourselves, that we’re valuable, in demand, and hard-working. But, at what cost?
Today on the podcast, we’re diving deep into ‘hustle culture.’ We’re talking about the surprising roots of where it came from, the impact it has on our behavior and whether we’re behaving in alignment with the type of person we want to be, and some practical tips to say ‘no’ to hustle culture.
As we find ourselves becoming more and more squeezed by our schedules and responsibilities, it has never been more important to find ways to create space, ease, and balance in our lives. Listen to this episode to learn how.

The types of difficult decisions we are faced with in business are unique because they aren't really straight-forward. Many times, there are no clear-cut right answers. No obvious path forward.
Lots of times, there isn't even an optimal choice to make - we're weighing between multiple options that are equally important, enticing, or risky. It's a recipe for confusion, second-guessing, and uncertainty. Not exactly the mindset we want to be walking around with all the time!
So, when we're faced with decisions like these, we need something to fall back on to help us decide. We need a compass, of sorts. Our personal values can provide that compass, which is why we're going to be focusing on them for this episode.

How much money do you make? <--How did that question make you feel?
How about this one, if a job opportunity came up that paid DOUBLE what you make today, how nervous would you be to apply for it?
In today’s episode, we’re talking about the connection between our emotions and our finances. It’s a bigger connection than you’d anticipate.
Today’s podcast guest is Bob Wheeler. Bob is an accountant by training, but his work goes so much further than that. Through is book, “The Money Nerve,” his podcast “Money You Ask,” and his live and online trainings, Bob helps people unpack their emotions and beliefs about money and how they might be influencing their decisions and financial outcomes.
In this valuable conversation, we talk about the connection between emotion and money. We talk about where our beliefs about money come from and how they impact our decisions. Finally, we talk about how to begin to do “the work” of realigning our relationship with money.
The fact is, money is not the root of all evil. The more money you make, the bigger impact you can have on society and your own family for generations to come.

Stop right now, and do a quick scan of your mind. How are you feeling? What is your attitude in this moment? Is there anything you're working toward, trying to change, or attempting to get away from? Have you ever stopped to consider that maybe, just maybe, the present moment is fine, as is?

I can't think of many other life experiences that require more personal growth than entrepreneurship. Launching a new product or service into the market takes grit. Resilience. Strength. Bravery.
And failure, is inevitable.
Because of that, we need to redefine our relationship with failure, and we’re digging into how to do that on today’s episode.

Conflict in our closest relationships is inevitable. No matter how great a relationship is, at some point or another, we’ll find ourselves in an argument, and today’s episode is focused on helping you “win” every argument.
But here’s the thing, our biggest goal with this episode is to redefine what a “win” is. We would argue that a successful argument that you’ve “won” is one that you can walk away from feeling calm. Without rehashing it in your mind. One where you feel settled.
And as it turns out, there are several ways to get there, and we’re talking about all of them in this episode.

If you're like the vast majority of people, you likely feel busy quite often. The notion of being "busy" has permeated nearly every aspect of society from work, to family, to our kids' schedules. We find ourselves rushing through life, day after day. But, let me ask you this, what's at the end of all that rushing?

Many entrepreneurs leave the comfort of their 9-5 jobs in search of freedom. But, there are 2 sides to the freedom coin.
On one side is opportunity. The ability to build and experience boundless growth. The feeling you get when you realize the ceiling has been removed on the amount of money you can make. It's incredible.
But, the opportunity side of that coin is balanced by the other side. The responsibility side. The side that says, "Yes, you are free. You are completely free. And now you must chart your own course. Set your own direction. Put wind in your own sails. No one else will do it for you." The responsibility side also says, "Yes, there is no ceiling on the amount of money you can make, but I've also removed the floor as well. Choose your next steps wisely."
Here's how to chart your own course and get to work, especially in those early days.
Virus Fatigue. If we’re being honest, we’re all experiencing it to some degree. As we release this episode, the U.S. has been in the COVID epidemic for exactly a year. This is longer than any of us expected when it all began.
The dirty secret of all of this is that, we’re human beings. We have needs. And, many of those needs have been taken away from us.
Today on the podcast, we’re diving deep into something called “Conditions to Thrive.” We’ll walk you through SEVEN different conditions to thrive that have been significantly impacted by COVID and offer some ideas about how to elevate your experience.
Take care of yourself. You’re worth it.
